DESCRIPTION:
Sun Microsystems has acknowledged a vulnerability in Solaris, which
can be exploited by malicious users to cause a DoS (Denial of
Service).

SOLUTION:
A patch is available for Solaris 10.

-- SPARC Platform --

Solaris 10:
Apply patch 119757-01 or later.

-- x86 Platform --

Solaris 10:
Apply patch 119758-01 or later.

A final resolution is pending completion for Solaris 9.

The vendor recommends downloading and compiling Samba 3.0.8 or higher
from Samba.org.
