IMPACT:

WHERE:

SOFTWARE:
Netegrity SiteMinder 5.x
http://secunia.com/product/2971/

DESCRIPTION:
c0ntex has reported some vulnerabilities in SiteMinder, which can be
exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting
attacks.

Input passed to the "PASSWORD" and "TARGET" parameters in
smpwservicescgi.exe and the "TARGET" parameter in login.fcc is not
properly sanitised before being returned to users. This can be
exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's
browser session in context of an affected site.

The vulnerabilities have been reported in version 5.5. Prior versions
may also be affected.
