DESCRIPTION:
Sylvain Roger has discovered a weakness in SecuRemote / SecureClient,
which potentially can be exploited by malicious, local users to gain
knowledge of certain information.
The weakness is caused due to inappropriate default permissions on
the registry keys under
"HKLM/SOFTWARE/Checkpoint/SecureRemote/Credentials/". These keys are
used to store encrypted "Auto Local Logon" credentials and are
readable by all users on the system.
The weakness has been confirmed in version R56 HFA_03. Other versions
may also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Disable the "Auto Local Logon" feature (disabled by default).
Grant only trusted users access to affected systems.

Sylvain Roger
