DESCRIPTION:
Raphael Rigo has reported a vulnerability in SlimFTPd, which can be
exploited by malicious users to compromise a vulnerable system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error when handling
filenames received from the LIST, DELE, and RNFR commands. This can
be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow and execute
arbitrary code via an overly long filename.
The vulnerability has been reported in version 3.15 and 3.16. Prior
versions may also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Update to version 3.17.
