DESCRIPTION:
Raphael Rigo has reported a vulnerability in GoodTech SMTP server,
which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable
system.
The vulnerability is caused due to several boundary errors in smtpd,
which can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow by
supplying an overly long string as email address to the "RCPT TO"
command.
The vulnerability has been reported in version 5.16. Prior versions
may also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Update to version 5.17.
