DESCRIPTION:
dyn0 has discovered a vulnerability in VegaDNS, which can be
exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting
attacks.
Input passed to the "message" parameter in index.php isn't properly
sanitised before being returned to users. This can be exploited to
execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in
context of a vulnerable site.
It is also possible to disclosure path information via invalid input
to the "VDNS_Sessid" parameter.
The vulnerability has been confirmed in version 0.9.9 and also
reported in versions 0.8.1 and 0.9.8. Other versions may also be
affected.
SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
