VERIFY ADVISORY:

CRITICAL:
Less critical

IMPACT:
Exposure of sensitive information, DoS

WHERE:
From local network

OPERATING SYSTEM:
BONA ADSL-FR4II
http://secunia.com/product/5536/

DESCRIPTION:
Tim Brown has reported some vulnerabilities in ADSL-FR4II, which can
be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service)
or gain knowledge of certain sensitive information.

1) An undocumented open port on 5678/tcp of the router's internal
interface allows access to the router's web management page.

2) Performing a port scan of all ports will cause the router to stop
accepting new TCP connections.

3) The router's backup configuration file contains the administrative
password in clear text.

The vulnerabilities have been reported in firmware version
v.2.00.0111 (2004.04.09).

SOLUTION:
Restrict access to the router. Store the router's backup
configuration file in a secure place.

PROVIDED AND/OR DISCOVERED BY:
Tim Brown, Nth Dimension.
