DESCRIPTION:
Devil_box has reported a vulnerability in PunBB, which can be
exploited by malicious people to conduct SQL injection attacks.

Input passed to the "old_searches" array parameter in "search.php"
isn't properly sanitised before being used in a SQL query. This can
be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL
code.

Successful exploitation requires that "register_globals" is enabled
and that "magic_quotes_gpc" is disabled.

The vulnerability has been reported in versions 1.2.7 and 1.2.8.
Prior versions may also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Update to version 1.2.9.
