From: Secunia Security Advisories (sec-advsecunia.com)
Date: Fri Dec 23 2005 - 08:32:07 CST

TITLE:
AlstraSoft EPay Enterprise Script Insertion Vulnerabilities

SECUNIA ADVISORY ID:
SA18153

VERIFY ADVISORY:
http://secunia.com/advisories/18153/

CRITICAL:
Less critical

IMPACT:
Cross Site Scripting

WHERE:
From remote

SOFTWARE:
AlstraSoft EPay Enterprise 3.x
http://secunia.com/product/6663/

DESCRIPTION:
r0t has reported some vulnerabilities in AlstraSoft EPay Enterprise,
which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct script
insertion attacks.

Input passed to certain fields in "profile.htm", "card.htm",
"bank.htm", "subscriptions.htm", "send.htm", "request.htm",
"forgot.htm", "escrow.htm", "donations.htm", and "products.htm" isn't
properly sanitised before being used. This can be exploited to inject
arbitrary HTML and script code, which will be executed in a user's
browser session in context of an affected site when the malicious
user data is viewed.

Successful exploitation requires that the user is tricked into
visiting a malicious web site while being logged in to the management
interface.

The vulnerabilities have been reported in version 3.0. Other versions
may also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Do not browse untrusted web sites while being logged in to the
management interface.

Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
