DESCRIPTION:
Tim Shelton has discovered a vulnerability in Golden FTP Server,
which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable
system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in the handling
of the "APPE" FTP command. This can be exploited to cause a buffer
overflow by supplying an overly long argument.

The vulnerability has been confirmed in version 1.92. Other versions
may also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Use the product only when connected to trusted networks.
