SOFTWARE:
Joomla! 1.x
http://secunia.com/product/5788/
DESCRIPTION:
Some vulnerabilities have been reported in Joomla!, which can be
exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting and SQL
injection attacks.
1) Some input passed via the "Remember Me" functionality and the
"Related Items" module isn't properly sanitised before being used in
a SQL query. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by
injecting arbitrary SQL code.
2) Some input passed in the "getUserStateFromRequest()" function and
via the "SEF" and "com_messages" functionalities isn't properly
sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to
execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in
context of an affected site.
Some other security related issues have also been reported.
The vulnerabilities have been reported in versions prior to 1.0.10.
SOLUTION:
Update to version 1.0.10.
