Hardcore Disassembler / Reverse Engineer
Reversing must be a passion as your skills will be challenged
on a daily basis and you will be working several hours
everyday in IDA, Ollydbg, and with BinDiff. Often, it is also
required that you write a PoC or even a working exploit to
prove that an issue is exploitable.

TITLE:
Papoo Cross-Site Scripting and SQL Injection
SECUNIA ADVISORY ID:
SA20978
VERIFY ADVISORY:
http://secunia.com/advisories/20978/
CRITICAL:
Moderately critical
IMPACT:
Cross Site Scripting, Manipulation of data
WHERE:
From remote
SOFTWARE:
Papoo 3.x
http://secunia.com/product/10958/
Papoo 2.x
http://secunia.com/product/6588/
DESCRIPTION:
rgod has discovered some vulnerabilities in Papoo, which can be
exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting attacks
and SQL injection attacks.
1) Input passed to the "titel" and "ausgabe" parameters in
interna/hilfe.php is not properly sanitised before being returned to
the user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script
code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.
The vulnerabilities have been confirmed in version 3 RC3. Other
versions may also be affected.
2) Input passed to the "msgid" parameter in forumthread.php is not
properly sanitised before being used in SQL queries. This can be
exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
The vulnerabilities have been confirmed in version 2.1.3 and 3 RC3.
Other versions may also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
