SECUNIA ADVISORY ID:

VERIFY ADVISORY:
http://secunia.com/advisories/21523/
CRITICAL:
Not critical
IMPACT:
Exposure of sensitive information
WHERE:
From local network
SOFTWARE:
ASSP 1.x
http://secunia.com/product/11523/
DESCRIPTION:
Micheal Espinola Jr has discovered a vulnerability in ASSP, which can
be exploited by malicious users to disclose sensitive information.
Input passed to the "file" parameter in the administration section
isn't properly sanitised before being used to view files. This can be
exploited to disclose the content of arbitrary files from local
resources and network shares.
Example:
http://[host]:55555/get?file=[file]
Successful exploitation requires administrative privileges.
The vulnerability has been confirmed in version 1.2.3. Other versions
may also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Restrict access to the administration interface.
PROVIDED AND/OR DISCOVERED BY:
