DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in Advanced Website Creator (AWC),
which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct SQL injection
attacks.

The vulnerability is caused due to an error when generating web sites
using MySQL as the default backend and using a certain database
encoding (e.g. SJIS, BIG5, GBK, GB18030, UHC). This can be exploited
to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code to
user-supplied input on affected web sites.

The vulnerability is reported in versions prior to 1.9.0.

SOLUTION:
The vendor recommends updating to version 1.9.0 and recompiling
projects that use user-supplied input.
