CRITICAL:
Highly critical

SOFTWARE:
SmartCode VNC Manager 3.x
http://secunia.com/product/10785/
DESCRIPTION:
shinnai has discovered a vulnerability in SmartCode VNC Manager,
which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's
system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error within the VNC
Viewer ActiveX Control (scvncctrl.dll) when handling arguments passed
to the "ConnectAsyncEx()" method. This can be exploited to cause a
heap-based buffer overflow via an overly long string passed as the
first argument to the said method.
Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code when a
user visits a malicious website.
The vulnerability is confirmed in version 3.6.18.0 Enterprise
Edition. Other versions may also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Set the kill-bit for the affected ActiveX control.
