SOFTWARE:
SAP NetWeaver 4.x
http://secunia.com/product/9490/
SAP Internet Communication Framework
http://secunia.com/product/14676/

DESCRIPTION:
Cyrill Brunschwiler has reported some vulnerabilities in various SAP
products, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct
cross-site scripting attacks.

1) Input passed via the User-Agent header to the Web Dynpro Java
component of SAP Netweaver is not properly sanitised before being
returned to a user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML
and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected
site.

Successful exploitation requires that the target user is running the
application in testing or development mode.

The vulnerability is reported in SAP NetWeaver Nw04 SP15 to SP 19 and
SAP NetWeaver Nw04s SP7 to SP 11. Other versions may also be
affected.

2) Unspecified input passed to the default login page in the SAP
Basis component of SAP Internet Communication Framework is not
properly sanitised before being returned to a user. This can be
exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's
browser session in context of an affected site.

The vulnerability is reported in SAP Basis component 640 SP19 and
lower and SAP Basis component 700 SP11 and lower.

SOLUTION:
Update to the latest versions (see SAP Notes 1045640, 946608, and
