IMPACT:
Cross Site Scripting
WHERE:
From remote
SOFTWARE:
CMS Vigile 1.x
http://secunia.com/product/15776/
DESCRIPTION:
x0kster has discovered two vulnerabilities in CMS Vigile, which can
be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting
attacks.
Input passed to the "cat" parameter through index.php to the Download
module and the "title" parameter through index.php to the Wiki module
is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can
be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's
browser session in context of an affected site.
Successful exploitation requires that the Download or Wiki modules
have been installed.
The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 1.8. Other versions may
also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
