DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in TYPO3, which can be exploited by
malicious users to conduct SQL injection attacks.

Certain input passed to the "indexed_search" system extension is not
properly sanitised before being used in an SQL query. This can be
exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.

The vulnerability is reported in versions 3.x, 4.0 to 4.0.7, and 4.1
to 4.1.3.

SOLUTION:
TYPO3 4.1.x:
Update to version 4.1.4 or later.

TYPO3 3.x or 4.0.x:
Update to version 4.0.8 or later.
