DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in Tk, which can potentially be
exploited by malicious people to compromise an application using the
library.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error when processing
GIF images within the "ReadImage()" function in tkImgGIF.c. This can
be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow via a specially
crafted GIF image.

Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code.

The vulnerability is reported in versions prior to 8.5.1.

Update to version 8.5.1.
