DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in DBMail, which can be exploited
by malicious people to bypass certain security restrictions.
The vulnerability is caused due to an error when binding to an LDAP
server with an empty password. Depending on the LDAP implementation
and configuration used, this can be exploited to bypass the
authentication mechanism.
Note: Reportedly, this only affects installations using an Active
Directory LDAP server with anonymous logins enabled.
The vulnerability is reported in versions prior to 2.2.9.
SOLUTION:
Update to version 2.2.9.
