VERIFY ADVISORY:
http://secunia.com/advisories/30243/

CRITICAL:
Moderately critical

IMPACT:

SOFTWARE:
Automated Link Exchange Portal
http://secunia.com/product/18651/

DESCRIPTION:
HaCkeR_EgY has reported a vulnerability in Automated Link Exchange
Portal, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct SQL
injection attacks.

Input passed to the "cat_id" parameter in linking.page.php is not
properly sanitised before being used in SQL queries. This can be
exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.

NOTE: Reportedly, link.php (where available) is also affected by the
same vulnerability.

SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
