IBM AFP Viewer Plug-In 3.x

DESCRIPTION:
Paul Kurczaba has discovered a vulnerability in IBM AFP Viewer
Plug-In, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a
user's system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in the plug-in
when processing the "SRC" property. This can be exploited to cause a
heap-based buffer overflow via an overly long string (longer than
1023 characters).

Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code when a
user e.g. visits a malicious website.

The vulnerability is confirmed in versions 2.0.7.1 and 3.2.1.1. Other
versions may also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Update to version 3.4.1.7.
