TITLE:
Matterdaddy Market "index.php" SQL Injection

SECUNIA ADVISORY ID:
SA31564

VERIFY ADVISORY:
http://secunia.com/advisories/31564/

CRITICAL:
Moderately critical

IMPACT:
Manipulation of data

WHERE:
From remote

SOFTWARE:
Matterdaddy Market 1.x
http://secunia.com/product/19639/

DESCRIPTION:
~!Dok_tOR!~ has discovered two vulnerabilities in Matterdaddy Market,
which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct SQL injection
attacks.

Input passed to the "category" and "type" parameters in index.php is
not properly sanitised before being used in SQL queries. This can be
exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.

Successful exploitation requires that "magic_quotes_gpc" is
disabled.

The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 1.1. Other versions may
also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
