Sun Solaris NFSv4 Server Kernel Module Denial of Service

DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in Sun Solaris, which can be
exploited by malicious, local users to cause a DoS (Denial of
Service).

The vulnerability is caused due to an error in the NFSv4 server
kernel module and can be exploited to hang an NFSv4 server sharing an
hsfs(7FS) file system.

The vulnerability is reported in Solaris 10 and OpenSolaris for both
the SPARC and x86 platforms.

SOLUTION:
Apply patches.

-- SPARC Platform --

Solaris 10:
Apply patch 139462-02 or later.

OpenSolaris:
Fixed in build snv_111.

-- x86 Platform --

Solaris 10:
Apply patch 139463-02 or later.

OpenSolaris:
Fixed in build snv_111.
