TITLE:
Project Woodstock UTF-7 "404 Page Not Found" Cross-Site Scripting

SECUNIA ADVISORY ID:
SA35006

VERIFY ADVISORY:
http://secunia.com/advisories/35006/

DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in Project Woodstock, which can be
exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting
attacks.

UTF-7 encoded input passed via the URL when handling a 404 Page Not
Found error is not properly sanitised before being returned to the
user. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code
in a user's browser session in context of an affected site.

Successful exploitation may require that the browser auto-selects the
encoding.

The vulnerability is reported in version 4.2. Other versions may also
be affected.

SOLUTION:
Fixed in the CVS repository.
