DESCRIPTION:
Parvez Anwar has discovered a vulnerability in SureThing CD/DVD
Labeler, which can be exploited by malicious people to potentially
compromise a vulnerable system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error when processing
playlist files (e.g. M3U or PLS). This can be exploited to cause a
stack-based buffer overflow when a users is tricked into importing a
specially crafted playlist.
Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code.
The vulnerability is confirmed in trial version 5.1.616. Other
versions may also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Do not import untrusted playlist files.
