TITLE:
LogRover "uname" and "pword" SQL Injection Vulnerabilities

SECUNIA ADVISORY ID:
SA35821

VERIFY ADVISORY:
http://secunia.com/advisories/35821/

DESCRIPTION:
Some vulnerabilities have been discovered in LogRover, which can be
exploited by malicious people to conduct SQL injection attacks.

Input passed to the "uname" and "pword" parameters in login.asp is
not properly sanitised before being used in SQL queries. This can be
exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.

Successful exploitation requires access to the web interface.

The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 2.3.3. Other versions
may also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Use a firewall or proxy to restrict access to the web interface.

PROVIDED AND/OR DISCOVERED BY:
Geoff Humes and rb13$, Digital Defense, Inc. Vulnerability Research
