TITLE:
dit.cms Multiple File Inclusion Vulnerabilities
SECUNIA ADVISORY ID:
SA36076
VERIFY ADVISORY:
http://secunia.com/advisories/36076/
DESCRIPTION:
SirGod has reported multiple vulnerabilities in dit.cms, which can be
exploited by malicious people to disclose sensitive information or
compromise a vulnerable system.
1) Input passed via the "sitemap" parameter to multiple files is not
properly verified before being used to include files. This can be
exploited to include arbitrary files from local resources.
Examples:
http://[host]/menus/left_rightslideopen/index.php?sitemap=[file]
http://[host]/menus/side_pullout/index.php?sitemap=[file]
http://[host]/menus/side_slideopen/index.php?sitemap=[file]
http://[host]/menus/top_dropdown/index.php?sitemap=[file]
http://[host]/menus/topside/index.php?sitemap=[file]
2) Input passed via the "path" parameter to multiple files is not
properly verified before being used to include files. This can be
exploited to include arbitrary files from local or external
resources.
Examples:
http://[host]/menus/left_rightslideopen/index.php?path=[file]
http://[host]/menus/side_pullout/index.php?path=[file]
http://[host]/menus/side_slideopen/index.php?path=[file]
http://[host]/menus/simple/index.php?path=[file]
http://[host]/menus/top_dropdown/index.php?path=[file]
http://[host]/menus/topside/index.php?path=[file]
Successful exploitation requires that "register_globals" is enabled.
The vulnerabilities are reported in version 1.3. Other versions may
also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly verified.
