TITLE:
Facil Helpdesk Cross-Site Scripting and Local File Inclusion

SECUNIA ADVISORY ID:
SA36209

VERIFY ADVISORY:
http://secunia.com/advisories/36209/

DESCRIPTION:
Moudi has reported some vulnerabilities in Facil Helpdesk, which can
be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting
attacks and disclose sensitive information.

1) Input passed via the URL to kbase/kbase.php is not properly
sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to
execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in
context of an affected site.

2) Input passed to the "lng" parameter in index.php is not properly
sanitised before being used to include files. This can be exploited
to include arbitrary files from local resources via directory
traversal attacks.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may require that
"magic_quotes_gpc" is disabled.

SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.

PROVIDED AND/OR DISCOVERED BY:
