TITLE:
Plume CMS SQL Injection Vulnerabilities

SECUNIA ADVISORY ID:
SA36277

VERIFY ADVISORY:
http://secunia.com/advisories/36277/

DESCRIPTION:
Some vulnerabilities have been discovered in Plume CMS, which can be
exploited by malicious people to conduct SQL injection attacks.

1) Input passed via the "m" parameter to manager/index.php is not
properly sanitised before being used in an SQL query. This can be
exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability requires at least
"Simple author" privileges.

2) Input passed via the "id" parameter to manager/tools.php (e.g.
when "p" is set to "link" and "page" is set to "edit_link") is not
properly sanitised before being used in an SQL query. This can be
exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability requires
"Administrator" privileges.

The vulnerabilities are confirmed in version 1.2.3. Other versions
may also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
