KDE KSSL NULL Character Certificate Spoofing Vulnerability

DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in KDE, which can be exploited by
malicious people to conduct spoofing attacks.

The vulnerability is caused due to an error in KSSL when processing
certificates having a Subject Alternative Name containing NULL ('\0')
characters. This can be exploited to e.g. conduct Man-in-the-Middle
(MitM) attacks via specially crafted certificates.

This is related to vulnerability #2 in:
SA36093

SOLUTION:
Do not rely on the security provided by SSL connections.
