VariCAD Products DWB Processing Buffer Overflow

DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been discovered in VariCAD and VariCAD Viewer,
which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's
system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in the processing
of DWB files. This can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer
overflow when a specially crafted DWB file is opened.

Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.

The vulnerability is confirmed in VariCAD version 2.05 and VariCAD
Viewer version 2.05 on Windows. Other versions may also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Do not open untrusted DWB (".dwb") files.
