IBM DB2 Data Manipulation and Buffer Overflow Vulnerabilities

DESCRIPTION:
Two vulnerabilities have been reported in IBM DB2, which can be
exploited by by malicious users to cause a DoS (Denial of Service)
and by malicious people to manipulate certain data.

1) An error in the TLS implementation while handling session
re-negotiations can be exploited to insert arbitrary plaintext into
an existing TLS session via Man-in-the-Middle (MitM) attacks.

This is related to vulnerability #1 in:
SA37291

2) An error in the implementation of the REPEAT function can be
exploited to cause a buffer overflow and crash the DB2 server.

The vulnerabilities are reported in versions prior to 9.1 Fix Pack 9.

SOLUTION:
Update to version 9.1 Fix Pack 9.
