DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in IBM AIX, which can be exploited
by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service) or potentially
compromise a vulnerable system.
The vulnerability is caused due to an integer overflow error in the
"rpc.pcnfsd" service when parsing RPC requests and can be exploited
to corrupt memory by sending a specially crafted RPC request to an
affected system.
Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code.
The vulnerability is reported in AIX 5.3, 6.1, and earlier releases
and VIOS 1.5, 2.1, and earlier releases.
SOLUTION:
