I have a device made by ACARD that acts as a UW-SCSI 68 pin to IDE bridge, with
a hardware write block. It's part number is AEC-7720WP, and there is a SCSI-2 50
pin to IDE variant (Part Number AEC-7720UP). The best way to find info on it is
to do a web search for it. Their web site doesn't seem to have any reference to
the device, but MAYBE you can luck into the info at one of their distributors
    sites.
