Joe, wouldn't it be more fun to actually _run_ an exploit on one of your
own machines? I still remember the sense of awe I had the first time I
typed ./exploit, and was presented with a # prompt. Watching it on a
movie is a little different from seeing it right in front of your eyes,
commanded by your own fingers..
You can sometimes find decent exploits on bugtraq; I think team TESO has
released most of theirs at their website (check google, they have
several :). (Of course, check out all exploits that you run to make sure
they aren't trojans.. try to avoid ones with "shellcode", since they are
a bit more difficult to tell what they are doing.)
Just a thought. :)
