    Well, I made my own patch:

    The patch applies cleanly also to bash version 2.05a. There's a RPM for
    RedHat 7.2 in that page, and a RPM for 7.3 in
      http://strange.nsk.yi.org/mine/bash-2.05a-13.1.nsklh.src.rpm
    (change 'src' to 'i686' for the compiled version).
