Hi,

There is a thesis that tried to do immunologically-inspired distributed system
based on NSM. Forgot the author but it was posted on securityfocus sometimes
ago. It explained NSM concept quite well. According to the thesis, a later
version of NSM used an expert system to look for intrusion signature in the
traffic matrix in addition to the statistical anomaly detection. Its current
incarnation is called NID which only available for US government agency.
Another direct development of NSM is ASIM. Sorry, I can't remember the thesis
author, but if he is in the list, I think he'll speak up ;-)

Regards
Shaiful
