    Hi Sangeeta,

    I think UC Dallas has alot of papers regarding IDS topics already studied.

    Your best bet is to surf around some of the .edu sites to find out what sort of areas are targeted for IDS research, this might shed some light on your decision.

    Maybe be something on distributed multiagent attacking NIDS would be fun. Just a thought ;)
