Well, I can't really disclose where it was at, as that would reveal the customer, and I don't want to do that.

However, it was running in IPS mode with drop rules.

My point in saying all that is the 3D9900 is an excellent platform and handles real world traffic mixes extremely well. Each network is different and the performance of any IPS will vary depending on network load, conditions, and policy.
