    I do not know how to filter out files by extension but if viruses are your concern then ther is a way to block them. Using AntiVir (www.hbedv.com) as the virus scanner and using AMaViS (www.amavis.org) as the interface between antivir and qmail works great for blocking incoming and outgoing emails containg a virus.
