Interix (Microsoft Unix Services for NT) is based on the Cygwin library.
Cygwin provides a POSIX compatibility layer for NT. This allows many
applications developed for Unix, especially GNU apps, to be recompiled and
run on NT. This includes generic telnetd and sshd. I have not yet found a
nicely packaged sshd but if you are comfortable with recompiling
applications, cygwin may be the way to go. Try this link:
The Microsoft Interix product includes GNU cpp (the GNU standard C/C++
compiler), Cygwin, and a spate of other Unix stuff. I haven't tried it yet,
but it should be possible to install Interix and then one of the better sshd
ports on top. Then you'd have an almost supported, secure remote access
system. Let me know how well it works if you try it.
