We're using MS PPTP at work and it's buggy as hell - people are experiencing
random slowdowns and disconnects and are bitching and moaning.
If you can't afford different VPN solution, at least put your VPN server on
the separate machine and enable PPTP filtering - it will be little more
stable and hopefully more secure, I hope.
A while ago I asked the same question and found out that PPTP was not that
secure after all, there are a lot of exploits for it out there and not that
much info on how to work around the vulnerabilities.
In my company we've decided to go with external VPN solution (by SonicWALL
in our case) and I'd suggest you do the same.
Hope this helps.

I am thinking of using Windows PPTP to establish a VPN connection between
two NT servers. Anyone know of anything I need to be aware of (security or
otherwise)?
