Hi

I am sure there will be a deluge of responses on this. ZA is an excellent
personal software based firewall. It is best used protecting home PCs and
network that are attached fulltime to the Internet via Cable or DSL modems.
It does a very good job of protecting from hackers. You can't beat the
price, it is free for personal use. Its default configuration works fine.

Should you use it to protect a corporate network? Nope. For that you should
use a raptor, Gauntlet, or Checkpoint type firewall.

(sorry for the previous empty message - I continually forget that when I am
using Eudora from my windows box at work that I cannot use the emacs ctl-e
to get to the end of line - eudora sends automatically when ctl-e is
pressed... I guess that's the problem I have when I use windows less than I
do linux... :)

Anyway, back to the subject:

Can anyone comment on the relative value of using ZoneAlarm? Is it better
than nothing? Does it in itself introduce other issues of concern?
