Probably the best peice of software i've seen that does this is TCPview Pro from winternals. It is a TDI filter, so if any program is uses sockets under windows, TCPVp will see it. it also has the added benefit of showing read and writes, so you not only know what is listening where, but also what they are doing. if you are concerned about this type of problem, go buy this program. It is commercial software, but it is well worth the 69 dollars.

Subject: Listening ports on Windows 2000

      Hello,

anyone knows a program that list listening TCP and UDP ports on a windows 2000
and tell which PID/ Program is listening on it ????

Like the good tool under Linux "nestat -anp"

I've tried Inzider but it doesn't seem to list all program, especially TCP listener.

      Thanks.
