Just a quick note to let you know the Microsoft Security Bulletin Search
Page has been updated to enable you to search for relevant security
bulletins based on the Product and Service Pack you are running. The
    Search page is available here:
    http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/current.asp

We have posted a frequently asked questions page that you may wish to
review - it is available here:
    http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/srchfaq.asp

A few notes on the new search page:
     - Bulletin Numbers and Bulletin Titles are currently displayed on the
    search page.
     - Future enhancements to the page will include the display of related
Qarticle numbers, information about which patch completely supersedes
which other patch, and information about what service pack contains the
    patch.

The new search page is running off of an XML file that contains a wealth
of data about every security bulletin and corresponding security patch.
(More details about the publically available XML file will be available
shortly.) The new XML file will enable us to release tools in the next
few months that you can use to check your system to see what hotfixes
you are missing on your machine (similar to the current hfcheck tool for
IIS5). These tools will even determine which hotfixes have been
supserseded by other hotfixes and will only report back those patches
that are truly necessary (and not those that are superseded by later
fixes). When these tools are available, we will make them available via
the Technet Security site and will make an announcement to the security
    mailing lists.

Comments and Feedback about the new search page may be sent to
