    Hi,

Does anybody have experience with setting permissions, or environment
variables on an NT/W2K box so that users can do their work as usual on MS
Visual Source Safe, yet not allowing them to full access, that is to delete
    the files/folders?

To cut a long story short I have setup a sharable folder VSS on one of the
machines so that me and my co-workers can use VSS to store various versions
of a project and keep track of changes. The problem is that the permissions
to this folder are full access rights to all of the users and it so happened
that one of the users deleted the whole data folder by accident. The good
news is that there were multiple backups and that nothing was lost, but I
would really like to find a solution, so that it doesn't happen again.

If there is no solution for this issue I would have to look into some other
    development tracking/storing database.

    Thanks,
    Dan
