Before running the patch, check the permissions
    of the file httpext.dll
    in c:\winnt\system32\inetsrv and
    in c:\winnt\system32\dllcache.

I had the same problem, and after setting the
permissions of the user "Everyone" to "Full Control"
    the patch installed ok.

BTW be sure you set the "deny" permissions again to the user
"Everyone" in httpext.dll after you install the patch.
    You never know...

    Hi,

I just tried to install the new patch on an w2k-server wich
is working as an webserver and i got an error-messages
saying canīt copy httpext.dll, then a windows pop up asking
for the right path to the file... for sure it is the right
path and even when im telling the wiz the right path it
still donīt like it... hmmm any idea about it ??? I also
tried to stop the webservice and reboot the machine and
then with out the activated service (so the dll coudnīt get
linked) but this also didnīt work ...

    best regards
