O&O Software <http://www.oo-software.com/> has a product called O&O BlueCon
with which you can boot to a command prompt from a floppy and do various
manipulations of the machine, including resetting the administrator
password. They have a free download of a read-only version so you can see
what it can do. To actually write to the hard disk (or reset the password)
you must register it.
I've dabbled with the trial version and it looks useful. I have not
actually needed it though so I haven't registered it myself.
