I was just reading an article on SearchHound relating to Instant Messaging and the fact that most of the mainstream IMs are easily snooped upon, a worrying fact seeing as I know a lot of organisations
frequently instant message across regional offices, witness the fact I regularly walk in on the techies and find them communicating via MSN Messenger to other far off offices frequently.
I've know something like Jabber may be a viable alternative with security in mind, does anyone have any experience of running a Jabber IM Server or any useful tips/programs they have used in the
past to ensure secure Instant Messaging through the organisation
rather than public services such as MSN ??
Are there some good reliable 'secure' public IM Servers for use with
secure clients if I can't run my own?
